Well rite now I am running 2 12" alpine type E's in my explorer and am pretty happy with the sound but I want a lil more and was looking into type S. To my suprise , they need the same amount of wattage as the e's and are only 5$ more. So whats the diff. between E's and S's?

should I try n sell my type E's and get some s's? Also would the same amp work on the s's that i have on the e's? i have a xtant 600 watt amp

whattt, ive heard set ups with type e's and type r's. The type R's got way deeper and way louder. The type E's are jus loud and clean

one of the best sub/amp set ups that i ever installed was two alpine type e 12" with a bazooka 600w amp. ive installed type r's in 3 or 4 cars and only once was i satisfied with the way they sounded and that was with a ported box, while the rest were all sealed. even some of the type r's were powered by decent alpine amps.

My friend that I build boxes with buildt this box:

Which isn't enough space for each woofer if you ask me, but it sounded tight and played very deep for what it was.

hey man where in tampa ru at? and yeah im on explorerforum.com...guess u seen me on there? suprising tho cuz i hardly ever post on there jus read. U have aim?

the type S's i can return, and they are accually cheaper than the e's were by 10$ a sub. THis is why i buy CC cuz i can return shit like this. I guess im gonna go return them tomarrow, thanks jmac

not worth it, i have heard type e's sound better than type r's.
