Alpine Told me to do this !!!!!!

your level of intelligence is so low it hurts me, quite literally.
think about it, how is it a good idea to r un two voicecoils on a sub at difference wattages? wht makes that even a remotely good idea?

Why dont you just sell the sub/amp, and buy a different sub/amp to match whichever you arent selling? Its that simple.
I know this is why i made teh post because it doesnt make sense

anyways i called alpine again this time i was talking to a diffrent guy he confirmed that i can do so BUT i have to gain match the Volts so each voice coil gets the same power

aparently i can do this if i had a volt meter and play with the gains to output the same Volts per vc and then it will match

i even asked him is this even possible if one ch is 125 rms per VC and the other is 500 per VC and he said it doesnt matter how much power going into the other VC that i can always match it with the other one with the gain settings on my amp

so i dont know how the **** to do that

What is this, your 15th thread on the same question?

Everyone told you already, its not a good idea. No idea youve had yet was remotely close to intelligible.

You have two options:

1: Buy a new sub and amp that work well together

2: Wire the voice coils so they receive the same wattage at the same impedance.

Any other option you could think of will probably not work, and if it does, itll work for 3 and half seconds before you burn it to a crisp.

Listen and learn something. Please.

and for 15th time i said that im stuck with this amp and there are options i m having it run at single coil at 500rms for 2 days now and it sounds awesome

what he is trying to talk about would work... but his sub would recive a whopping 250 watts rms...

the alpine tech basically told him to wire up ch's 1/2 bridged to one vc... set the gains with a multi meter for 125 watts rms, then to bridge ch's 3/4 but to set the set the gains for 125 watts rms as well instead of the 500 + its capable of

at this point you would be sending your 1000 watt rms sub 250 watts...

this is a dumb idea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

some alpine amp and the Type X IIRC
Still would like to know exactly what amp.

OP

is it a three channel or what ? Where is the 500w at 4ohm and 125 x 2 or what ever coming from ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Alpine MRV-F545

So after digging through your other threads I find the answer to my question. Why don't you bridge the 3 /4 channels wire the sub to 8 ohm and deal with the 250w you have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sounds to me like it is an MRV-F545. I had the same amp. Alpine was gay and didn't make both channels bridgeable with the same outputs. They designed it to work in "center channel mode" so you can bridge the front two channels to a center channel and the rear two to a sub... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Real practical, Alpine. Sell your MRV-F545 and buy an MRD-M1005 and run it to your Type X at 2 ohms mono like I did and be done with it.

End of thread.

thats why i called again and the other dude confirmed that id be geting 625rms

he said it doenst matter how much power is in the 2nd coil as long as there is something the numbers will add up.. the 500rms will be pumping the Voice coil 1 and voice coil 2 having 125rms will be playing along like following the leader kinda and will add up the power

this is wat they told me so yeah

Jesus kid, just get a f*cking amp that will run your sub correctly. Are you that f*cking dense?
this is a 500$ amp prolly worth more then your whole ****in piece of shit of a system you have in your mom's car. stfu if you read my thread you would know that i got a VERY good deal on this setup with the sub and box because of the hassle i have to go thru to get this system working nicely. so i dont want to get rid of the amp since i got it for so cheap i mean i could sell it.... prolly take awhile and buy something else for that money

so i dont have the money to buy a 2nd amp and be stuck with it

the amp is a 2/3/4 ch its a rare alpine Alpine MRV-F545

it can do alot of configarations on this amp

125x4 (172rmx x 4ohm on birthsheet)

250x4 2ohm

subwoofer

3/4 bridged 4ohm 500rms(600 actualy )

plus it has potatnetial of ch 1/2 to be bridged as well to get 125rms

so 500 + 125

this brings me to the point of wanting to be able to power my two front speakers off this amp if i cant add it tot he sub ill just be running my 500rms at 4 ohms to one voice coil

3rd now amp is at stable temp, sub is in great condition

pumping all day long no problem

Did you scam somebody for that amp and sub.

I have a Power Acoustik PA2-1200 I'll trade you for that F545... It does 600 x 1 rms @ 2 ohms. its perfect for you and you dont risk blowing your amp or sub. I will even throw in a Kenwood KAC-729s 2 channel amp rated at 100 x 2 rms @ 4 ohms for your front speakers. Hell I will even throw in a set of 6.5" Memphis components that have never been used. I've had them for about a year and only tested them when I got them. This stuff would help you out a lot more than what you're currently trying to do. You are going to ruin that sub only running one VC on it.

So to break it down. Here's what I'm offering you for trade...

Power Acoustik PA2-1200.

Kenwood KAC-729s.

Memphis 6.5" component set.

If you're interested send me a PM and I will get you pics of everything.
