1 i bought 2 xsite 8" subs, i know they're not made for midbass but i have an re 12, should i run them at the same time as 3 subs, should i make them midbass, or should i just run them for laughs off and on

2 i have 2-3 different amps running in my car right now. i just bought a new stock alternator, should i return it and get a higher amp alternator, buy an optima red top, or buy a cheap capacitor

3 how much should an re SExxx sit up off of the ground (i have it downfiring in my truck)

How many watts are these amps pushing on average?

You could make the 8's midbass's in a extra small sealed box and cross them over @ 200 hz's or so, but I would not run them as subs unless you do it for the hell of it.

I do not know how much clearance you need on the sub, I'd guess 4 inches min????

alright, i have 1 150w x2 amp for components. 1 200x2 amp for the 8's and 1 800-1200 watt amp for the SExxx (dont have it yet). The box specs for those 8's is .75 cubes per sub, tuned to 36 hz. what would you suggest to make them midbass and how would i set the amp to do that? also could i set both of the 8's close together on one side of the truck and the 12 under the other side of the backseat?

This is a clear case of trying to do too much just because you have the stuff. Slow down. You do not want to run subs of different sizes, or different brand/model, or both, at the same freqs. This means the 8's would need to run midbass (approx 80-200hz). But you say they aren't made for midbass. *shrug* Running dedicated midbass is more in depth than just throwing a pair of 8's in the corner of your trunk.

More is certainly not always better, and many times is worse. You need to do some more research, or slim down your idea, or I think your results will be disappointing.

yeah, i wasnt even gonna use the 8's (they were only $3 a piece). but i figured i'd check and make sure nobody had any great ideas for making them half-decent midbass subs. i think i'm just gonna make a box for them and just laugh when my $3 subs beat their shitty 12's. still got questions about the alt, batt, or cap. even w/o those 8's gettin power
