I have a thunder-form box that has the speaker lip set at 5" from base to (top) lip. I am interested in filling this area with a Eclipse SW9102 10" sub. I had a few question's though. I Guess first I should state I need to use this box as it will retain the use of my back seats in my Dakota and my cargo area back there as well. Being a pilot and having tons of other hobbies this area is used often for storage. (mainly things that couldn't go in the bed)
My first question is knowing I am going with the ELIPSE CD8455 for the HU. is there a better sub in terms of the ability to hit good down low and withstand long usage periods at high volume?
I believe the 9102 will hold its might to my challenge, the box will hold two of them and here are the current specs

If I do go with this woofer my next question would be if I have $2000 to spend on the HU which is 630, and the subs which are 460 ea. that would leave me 2000-1550 = 450 is there an amp at about that price that will be suitable for the need? I am more interested in doing this right then anything else so I am willing to wait longer and save more then spend it all now and not be happy. If another sub is recommended then what would be the best amp for that situation as well.
I figure with 2k for the sub amp, the HU, and the subs... The shop will cut me a good deal on the install, If not I will make time to do it myself.
I know the HU at 630 installed is a good deal but is there a better place to get the Sw9102 then for OTD 487.55ea (that would be sitting at my kitchen table price), if so where?
Lastly on any amp suggested, where would be the best place to get it and a good price on it, the shop I am looking at is willing a lil to work with me so I am hopeing me; being informed will help me save a lil money. I understand eclipses aren't the cheapest route but love the sound of the HU and the speakers seem to be able to fit the box extremely well. I have lil to no experience with car amps so I am unsure as to what would work giving my situation.
Thanks for all the help if you need more info or got any questions just shoot me a reply. I am hoping to have the first part of this done before the last week in sept.
BTW the vehicle is a 00 Dodge Dakota club cab r/t with the 6 speaker infinity 2 ohm 30 amp system. all six speakers still work but are blown and F+R components (front 6.5"-3 way with 1" tweeter/rear 6.5" -2 ways) will be needed to be replaced as well, however I will be doing that myself for sure and will post a later thread about them, once I get the HU, subs, and amp in...
Thanks
