ok so invested alot of time and money into my system, currently im running 2 kicker cvx12's wired to 1ohm in a 4.78cu ft box that i built tuned to 32 hzts. i have a 3 farad power acustic capasiter and rockford t1500.1 bd (the 2008 model) i have an optima battery with 1/0 guage going all the way to the distibution block. the it splits to two 4guage kicker hyper flex wires.i have a 480 watt 4 chanel kicker amp pushing the the 4 (6 1/2) speakers. with all that im still only hitting about 134 or 135 db. the deck i have is the pioneer p5800 and i have the audiobahn aeq-8 equalizers.

what could i have done wrong

check the output of your amp with a dmm...this can help you approximate how much power you are sending your subs.

That eq may be hurting the signal voltage going to your sub amp.

I would hope to be in the 140's with 2 decent 12's, and a decent box on 1500watts. But it depends on your box and car. meet up with some one who knows whats going on. You can ditch the capacitor also

lol my wifes minivan does better than that on 2 12" brutus subs and amps lolz. and no fancy "kicker" wires. and her current setup replaced krapper errrr kicker subs and amps

whats up sicaudio...

kickers a ok brand....box is going to be key after you get everything set right. but like sicaudio said...sometimes the big names arent big #'s

have you had it metered or is this just a guess? but as far as spl goes you can have the best stuff in the world and not hit 140 its all in box design, placement, and your vehicle. But yes good equipment does help...

Something makes me think that box maybe just a little too big. I don't know why, but I feel like ~5 cubes is a little too much airspace for cvx12's.

You certainly have the amp to get them movin, but I'd take a look into that box, sounds a little big

i would put em in a bigger enclosure, they love they cu ft, but also i would put more power to em to make up for the airspace, n if u got a vehicle wit a trunk then try foldin down ur seats n play songs wit low bass n c if ur car flexes more, wit the amp u should put a 0ga to it n also make sure theres no bass boost, only have the gain go up but definitly get rid of the 3 farad cap, ive heard from multiple pple they do more harm than good, just another thing for ur stock alt to power up

that sucks and disappointing, **** son we have a 129.9 team car that does 135 with a single 10 sealed.
