first things first; until today, I had never even touched an amp.

there are many terms I don’t understand, but since I have about 9 days and 6 hours until my second year law school exams, I was hoping you guys could help. I have an alpine 9856, which needs tweaking. also, the levels of my amps need tweaking. I keep having my 4 channel shut itself off when I go loud (but not as loud as it went without the amp and components). furthermore, I cant use alpine’s website to get the proper settings because my head is not yet listed and I didn’t see one that was comparable.

some info on the alpine 9856:

I need to know what settings I should do for the whole thing, defeat, BBE, everything. it sounds better with defeat on, but then it sounds like the woofers are making bass, when they shouldn’t be. please help, now back to constitutional law (my stereo is my only release)
