Hybrid car systems

So Ive been searching around on the forum trying to find out any info on hybrid car with premium aftermarket system. The general consensus seems to be that nobody is sure if its a good idea, or even possible to install a system in a hybrid car. My wife and I are thinking about getting one. Has anyone heard anything new and interesting about systems in hybrid cars?

With the power capabilities of a hybrid vehicle, its safe to say you can run several orion 2500D or IA 20.1's. Assuming you can have a DC to DC converter to decrease the voltage and increase the current for your amplifiers.

I've seen a couple of prius' with systems installed. If you want to stop by the shop (digital audio in oceanside) i'll be more then happy to take a look at the car.

That was a pretty good little article though. I like the idea of using the lightweight amp. I might have to start looking at the Phoenix Gold Titanium amps.

I remember Rick from Raamat having all kind of trouble with a hybrid install he was trying to put together. He ended returning the car and picking up a TC.
