The Graveyard Shift
First off I just wanted to know why when I turn my HU off I hear a sometimes small sometimes loud pop in my subs? I have a pioneer-1400 HU yes its cheap and yes im going to upgrade. Also for no apparent reason out of know where my subs just started hitting bass notes when my car hit a bump I thought it could be a loose connection so I checked it and all seems good. So hopefully it wont happen again. Any comments on that would help. For the last part is there an Alpine HU that will keep the bass on my mids and highs low and have a seperate channel for my subwoofers? My current HU just pretty much sucks and there is no control between speakers and subs. I know there is a model and all I need is one pre-out, no mp3, just a sub control. What Alpine HU fits my needs? Thanks for all the help.

Maybe you have a crappy car and for that split second your alternator gets tighter tention and feeds more power...

thats way out there lol

Uhm Make sure your RCA's are secure and that your ground point is clean and not shared.

The loud pop is due to your amp...really not tooo much you can do about it
