Nothing Is Promised
I have a Clifford 50.5X. Recently the chirp is very soft. I cut the soft chirp wire months ago and it's been fine. Every now and again it will be soft for a few locks/day or two, then be back to normal. I am going back to college tomorrow so I'd like it to be normal aka loud like always..

Any ideas? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

it's facing out of the front bumper right below the bottom of windshield

ex: i just got back from a friends and when i left, it chirped normally, got to his house it chirped softly, and then it chirped loud locking/unlocking when i left and got home...

its rather annoying...cuz the one time someone will break in it will be quiet or some shit

check and see if it is dirty. Mine got a dirty and it was doing the same thing. Just smack it a few times and see if any dirt or even water falls out lol

Sounds like either your ground wire connection is corroding or the siren is corroding due to water intrusion. Siren should be mounted face down. It can be at an angle, as long as it will drain any water that is splashed inside.

Also check your cars electrical voltage when it's quiet. If bumping your stereo loudly is dragging down your voltage then that could also soften the output of the siren and your litereally hearing your electrical system dying.

Replace the siren. They are cheap, $10 - $20 online. If it fixes the problem then your set, cheap fix. Solder and heat shrink your splice connection.

If it doesn't fix the problem then at least you know it's not the siren, and you have to get to the brain to test it. You can always add both sirens with a relay once you get the alarm working correctly. You can never have too many sirens.

do I need to use another Revenger siren? (DEI siren)

where is a good place to order one?

thanks..alarms are the one audio factor i dont mess with so i dont know a lot about them... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It could be getting moisture...or the output from the brain could be going out. It would be nice if you could test voltage to the siren when it was soft, and when it was loud.

If there is a voltage diff going in then you know its the output of the brain

DEI sirens are very common, but as long as it's a two wire siren of the same size, any one should work., but don't get a bigger siren than you have though, you could draw too much current and damage your alarm brain.
