Dakota installs?

Just picked up a '91 Dakota (with the 5.2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) and coming from a Cherokee with loads of room, I'm having some trouble finding any where to put a sub stage in. Just picked it up a few hours ago so I haven't really looked into it that much but there sure doesn't seem to be a lot of room back there. It's a 60/40 rear bench if I'm not mistaken, so I'm thinking of maybe getting rid of the 40 side and mounting it there but I really don't like it being so obtrusive.

Anyone have a first gen dakota and have done an clean install? I need some ideas.

What cab is it? I know a guy that had one a few years back, and he had a big bandpass box in the rear (extended cab). Just put it on the seat, and strapped it down. You could buy a 40 sized rear seat, and mount it where the 60 is, so you could have room in the middle to play with, and leave seating on either side.

Completely forgot to mention that. It's an extra cab. The dual 40 seat idea isn't bad, I might look into that.

I don't really want to eliminate the entire seat because I do have more than 1 person in the vehicle quite frequently.
