Aftermarket Stereo = Low sound quality... amp?

I have a 2005 F150 and recently put an off-brand Android double din screen stereo in it.

Everything works great except the quality of sound is slightly decreased.

I have gone over wiring and made sure no factory sub is installed and everything seems correct except the sound just doesn't sound as crisp as the factory HU.

Also I cannot find any sound controls on the new HU as far as treble/bass - fade/balance.

Would a small amp for the factory speakers and possible a pre amp EQ fix my issues?

Im not looking for massive sound... just want it back to factory clearness...
