Hello everyone.
Its seems that EVERYBODY makes a super sub-woofer now in these days (Appearance wise) . And in most cases the technical aspects of the English language are abused by giving most of these products self proclaimed tittles and descriptions like, " The BEST woofer I've ever tested" C&A Magazine to be exact which can make the consumer go bald in decision making.
I personally believe the L7 subs are not bad and while not the best sounding, they are also not the worst sounding and not to mention, in-expensive compared to others. I've been trying to come to a conclusion on which sub to use for my set-up, but I get mixed recommendations... L7's are bad sounding, JL W7s are over rated and expensive, Cdts are expensive, Etc , etc. For example, Yesterday I looked at my cousins year old 12w6v2 and the rubber around the speaker cone is rotted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif and My brother has the HO110R-W7 rattled apart you can very loudly hear the wood rattle ling specially in the low notes, so much for JL claiming "Rock Solid" built. How can it be possible for products from a such highly credited company like JL have such defects? There's no xcuse for the surround to rot

They're some of us here that swear by JL Audio, but not from what I've experienced. I was considering going with JL just because their rep, but not anymore. Im strongly considering the L7s in their "SQ" enclosure instead of JLs Highly priced 12w6v2 or 12w7.
S12L7 $225-$240
12w6v2 $350-$380
12W7 $520
I've owned a pair of both 10w6v2s and S12L7s, so I'm basing my opinion on my experiences with these products.
If you don't care much about $$ I guess JL would be the one, but if you like to get the best that your money can buy, you might re-consider.
PS: I remember My first set of C12A4 Kickers with my Bass Explosion USA 3 cd seeing peoples faces when driving down the streets
and they were only $70.
