Affordable 12s with around 1000w RMS?

Coming from a sundown nut hugger..... For the price, you cannot beat the xfl. Hell I can get a xfl 12 for cheaper than the sa8. You mean to tell me that a 3" coil woofer that can handle 2k + daily hit good numbers and under $200 is not worth it? You sir can gtfo of here with all the hate.

Its just one more company everyone will forget about when the next one pops up...

lol....that is not exactly the case when you consider AB is just about the most successful Competition oriented manufacturer in existence operating under the same management and same engineering goals since it's inception @ 1993. Their rep is something these newer companies like Sundown can only hope to someday achieve.

Never said it wouldn't be around it just won't be a boner in a month when the new one comes along... Never said they where a bad company just getting really annoying that AB seems to be the answer for every single question for the last month or so...

I totally understand that. Here is my take on a couple of the best "bang for your buck" subs for regular 4th order bass reflex use:

for a $100 sub in the 500 watt range- Sundown E series(latest version)

in the $200, 1000 watt range- American Bass XFL series

I'm with AB XFL's to they're an all around great sub. Or do you have to spend $800 on a sub to make it good? The price and the power handling is what makes it a very desirable sub. Not that people are nut hugging, most of us can't afford the best name brand sub. But the new Alpine r's are 1k rms now, they are def worth a look at. I do love Image Dynamics they sound awesome with music. But they are a bit pricey i believe. You got to make sure what you get is a good fit for your box or you won't get the all out of them. GL
