Aeroport problem

k guys here's my problem, i have to have ~52"^2 of port area, so i need at least two 6" aero's But the only way to fit them in a 41.25 x 23.5 x 16 box with a huge 18" woofer is the way pictured below. I'm just trying to save space, I can do slot ported, but I'd prefer to use the APs

what problems might arise from the way I have my aero's configured atm?

Do they even make 90* bends like that? I have never seen anything like that before.

they make the 90 degree bends, but i remember reading in a few threads about not wanting the port opening too close to the magnet. I dont know how far it is actually supposed to be, but that looks too close. I think i read it posted by audioholic. Maybe ram knows the exact distance needed.

How do you feel about external aeros? Keeping the bend in there you may only have to stick them out a few inches

I asked about how close they should be from the back wall of the box and was told at least the size of the port opening. But Idk if it would be the same with the magnet or not.

The enclosure volume to port area ratio looks way off...care to post your numbers?

Impressive...hell it took me forever just to get a functional flared aero in sketchup...

Dims are 41.25 x 23 x 16 netting ~7.2 cubes

Aeros are 2 6" so ~.7 cubes for ports

~.2 cubes for woofer displacement

So the driver would see ~ 6.3 cubes.

I'm thinking about raising the box to 17" for nore air and more space to work in

the sub may unload into the ports... but im no expert on the subject

I definitely would not set up the enclosure like that.

Make the box taller if you can, and mount the sub over the ports.
