I'm hoping to find advice on what receiver(s) would meet my needs. Thanks!
I have a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, currently with one of these:
Pyle - PLDN74BT*-*On the Road*-*Headunits - Stereo Receivers
All I can say is thank goodness I got it cheap, because it's kind of a wash vs the FM transmitter it replaced. I'm not gonna waste time detailing its faults. The good news is that since I got this installed, my dash has already been adjusted to take a double DIN stereo - now I just have to find the RIGHT stereo. I've looked at a variety of reviews and websites, but they never seem to tell me what I really want to know.
Here are my absolute minimum requirements:
*Bluetooth connection with Android phones (future compatibility is important)
*Display at least Title and Artist of playing track from the phone
*Answering phone calls w/good sound on calls
*2.1 amp/5 volt charging
Strongly prefer:
*Double DIN w/touchscreen
Nice but not required (highest priority first):
*Display of album and even album art from phone
*Volume control from steering wheel
*Ability to read phone memory (whether internal or SD card) via usb connection
*CD player
Not needed:
*Radio
*DVD
*Camera hookup
*Extra power or speakers
*iPhone/iPod support
My hope is that I can meet my requirements for ~$200 or less, but I'd go higher for the right features.
