Advice on My Setup

I'm sorta new to all of this car audio so advice would be really appreciated. I have a Kicker CVR 12 inch sub, Quantum Audio 1000 monoblock amp, Alpine 9884 head unit, ported box, 8 gauge wires, stock speakers, and a Quantum Audio epicenter. Right now, the bass seems like its all coming from the back of the car inside the trunk. How do I make the bass sound more up front? Another problem I am having is hearing the mid bass. I can hear the deep bass very strong but when it comes to the mid bass tones, I can barely hear them. Right now, the settings on my head unit are:

bass:0
bass freq: 80hz
bass bandwidth: 1
treble: 5
treble freq: 12.5khz
sub level: 15
loudness: on
hpf: off
sub system: 2
balance and fade: flat
Where should I set the high pass filter at if I have my bass freq. set at 80hz? Please help me out. Thanks..

First off your gonna have a hard time getting midbass out of your doors with deck power and an even harder time making the sound blend. You really need a amp for your mid-highs. Once you have a amp for them, then you need some non stock mid-high speaks that can take the extra power.(I like cdt) set the high pass x-over as low as you can without makin the mids pop when you turn it up loud and then play with your sub x-over until it sounds right to you. Everyone has there own taste...

read the tutorial on setting gains, its in the amplifier section. Midbass isn't gonna happen until you dampen the speaker locations AND add more power to the mids/coaxials. CVR's can get loud, keep at it.
