Advice on best subs on the market currently

Hey guys, just getting back into the swing of car audio after a hiatus. Been installing for about 15 years with half of that in shops. I'm looking to be running about 5k rms on no more than a pair of subs. What would be the best subs on the market right now? My last system was some monster Us Amps on 4 Kove Armeggedon 15's and Re Audio after that as you can see in my pic. Any opinions are welcome.

Look at b2 audio, tanrtic, sundown, incriminator audio.

Ok, just some background, i last ran Re Audio subs back when they were new and Kove Armeggedons before that. I believe most of the time you get what you pay for so in general i have a hard time comparing subs that run 300 a piece to subs that cost 700 a piece. That being said way back in the day the Hifonics Olympians were much better than their price so it's not impossible to have subs that far outperform their price but just wanted to put that out there.

Personally, for 2500 a piece, I like DD 95 series, or incriminator judges.... those are the only 2 I have experience with. But Tantric and sundown have serious nuthuggers for a reason, there upper ish is good, just no personal experience with them. This decision is gonna fall on you and your research

No love for DC Audio here? I heard those were pretty serious that the lvl 5's and lvl 6's would be comparable to the Kove Armeggedons i had. Any truth to that?

On 2,500 rms each some dd 95i's would be a nice choice ..

Or maybe a pair of mayhems or xl's

there is no "best" sub. these threads are stupid. choose a sub that fits your budget, power, enclosure size, and intentions.
