Advice on 2x12" subs with amp

[adviceplease]

I'm looking to get an entire system put into my car(head unit, amps, door speakers, subs, etc.) with a budget of ~$1200. Seeing as this is the sub woofer forum i'll just ask about the subs. With the $1200 budget in mind I would like to get suggestions on what 12" subs you guys prefer. I've been looking around and there are just too many different choices. I've picked out two that I think will sound good. I'm not sure if this matters but I like listening to hip-hop so i'm hoping to get a good amount of low end out of it.

I can't post the links for some reason so the subs are RE Audio S#X12D2 (where # = E) or Alpine SWR-12D2.

Also I know the 2 ohms vs. 4 ohms has to do with the amp and how it's wired so if you could help me with and amp that would be appreciated.

(If there would be a better forum for this let me know, I saw the newbie sticky up top and figured it would be fine here.)

how much do you want to spend on the subs? and what amp will you be running them off of?
