Advice needed: Sub setup for an old family man

I had to break up my sub setup, which consisted of (2) RE SE 12's powered by a Tsunami db1100. The subs were sold off because the huge ported box took up too much room in the trunk of my 4Runner. We have a baby on the way and I need to make room for strollers and stuff.

All that said, I shipped off the subs this morning and it sounds like absolute garbage without them. What advice can you give me on a small setup to give me some low end? I still have the amp laying around that I can use to power something.

I was thinking of something in the rear doors or something in a small sealed box.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I had my Fi q 12" in a 1.5cft sealed box off 900rms, which was more likely getting 800. Anyway not gonna comment on how many problems I had with that sub, but will say I saved a ton of room in my trunked Ford Focus ST. I had the same problem with the baby situation. I can fit a stroller, 2 diaper bags, and a bunch of other stuff and still have some room left over. Will say while the sub worked after them breaking in they sounded wonderful.

Alot can be resolved with the dimensions of the box. if you make it more wide than deep, and even include polyfil, than you can get more cu ft and still have alot of trunk left. Example, i had vitveet build be a box, for my 15fiQ, and it take up less space than when i had 2 12's. It was made deep enough for the depth of the woofer, and wide enough to make up for the difference. My 15 is in a accord coupe, and i have ALOT of trunk space still left. Make sure you use a grill though(baby stroller and such near your cone may cause a disaster lol) just my .02

I've got an old Eclipse in a VERY small (.65 cu ft?) sealed box laying around.. and a Type R 10" in a 1.5 cu ft ported fisher customs box. And I live locally if you want to check anything out.
