Advice from the sub guru's

I have been searching and reading a ton of the old posts regarding (RE/Adire/Alpine/SoundSplinter/etc...) and dont know what would be the best option(s).

I have a BMW 330 coupe which tends to trap the bass in the trunk, want to be loud but sound good/decent.

I am leaning towards the SoundSplinter RL-p, Incriminator Audio DP and was wondering if there are any other recommendations? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Would a pair of 10's or a 12 be more effective?

thanks

does not matter about the sub, because of how sealed there trunks are.

I have a 530 and drilled a tiny hole between the trunk and cabin and almost trippled my output

Thats was I was thinking....if I mod the plate in the rear armrest I am hoping it will help between the cabin and trunk.

What would the most effective setup consist of?

That's def in the right direction. Cut as much as possible out of the way, and use smaller subs, 12 and under because they move alittle less air and are a bit easier to work with. I'd say 2 nice 10's and focus on the install. That way you can still get loud but not have 15's which would be redundant in a small bass trap;)

Do you have a ski hole? Remove anything from the rear deck that isnt useful IE rear speakers/stock subwoofer....I noticed an increase when I did that to my maxima. Of course it wasnt sealed but yeah....

Run some IDQs IB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Off the rear deck of course....
Would like to run IB off the rear deck, but I dont have the know-how or tools to do that type of install (shameless plug, anyone in Arizona looking for an install let me know)..... I wonder what an IB setup on the rear deck would sound like tho //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

IDQ 15s IB in the rear deck are the *** from what ive heard....search around theres a few people here with IDs in IB //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I know one thing for sure, subs in IB get pretty low, but handle less power at the same time. Ive always wanted to try it....

lol...I wish the rear deck in the coupe could handle 15's, would be nothing short of crazy....dont know how to get 8's to fit(tiny shelf in the back)....Maybe use the subs firing @ the back of the backseats and use the trunk as the IB.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Any installers in Phoenix?

^^^Actually thats how some installs are.....one baffle board behind the back seat with a little room in between the subs and the rear seat. Seal both chambers completely and you have an IB setup....you do have a ski hole right????
