advice about a build

Hi everyone. I am putting together some stuff for a build. I was going to have a friend do it for me but he is kind of a hack. So........ here is what I have bought so far. 4 ppi d2000/1's I was thinking of strapping them in pairs to the two ppi pro 124's I have. Here is what i need to know. It is all going in a 89 1ton crew cab dually in the back( back seat is removed) 1. I need some advice on highs and mids and what to use to power them 2. what cable size i should use 4 the whole thing I was thinking #4 for the sub amps. 3. What size enclosure should i build for pro 124 subs and what should i tune it to? 4 should I chassis ground the sub amps or go straight to the power source? 5. I have 2 yellow tops, should I use more batteries or caps? or both? sound like alot of dumb questions And you have probably answered them all before , but a friend told me there are some of the best db guys in the country on here and I would get good advice. I will not be using this for db drag , I just want it to sound good pulling my race trailer!! Thanks in advance.

I'm starting to think I sound like a retard, I may, I am fairly new at this. I build dirt track race cars , I'm good at that. This stereo thing ......not so good any help would be appreciated!

Would I be better off with two of those Orion hcca 12's? I would like to stick with directed stuff since we get all our astroflex merch. there. Those guys seem like they are really on top of their stuff when it comes to quality products.

If this is your first install, I'd start off small and simple.

But you def want to use 1/0 gauge for the whole thing and something like a sundown, memphis, or US amps 4 channel for the mids and highs. Image Dynamics, RE, Rainbow, and Diamond Audio make really nice component sets. And with that much power you're probably gonna need more batts. Ditch the yellow tops and go with something like 2 or 3 kinetik or powermaster batteries and a HO alternator.
