Added nitrous to my car.

I do not remember which magazine did the mod but I clearly remember a Dodge dually being modded out to run high 11s, low 12s with a...what was it again? Oh, yeah! A Cummins turbo diesel!!

Keeeee-Rect! The plant in Elisabeth, S Australia where your car was built is a truly nice facility. Cleanest GM plant I've ever been in.
i was in a dodge cummins the other day. ext cab. all tricked out. everyday street truck he uses to pull his rock crawler around with. runs a mid 13 1/4 mile. not too shabby for a big lifted 4x4 truck with nothing ripped out of it. we were towing like 90 through the mountains with that huge jeep of his and a super heavy dual axle trailer designed for tractors behind his truck.

Okay, answer me this. If you can get that much power from a honda engine, and still get 30mpg.... why dosen't any Automaker adopt this magical tecnique? I mean they all want to get better mileage. Wouldn't MB be all over this with their SL cars? ...
...

You obviously dont let facts get in the way of your arguments. but go ahead and try to argue that.
Magical technique? WTF? I'm talking about one specific application, high horsepower turbo hondas that can still get great gas mileage. You all flipped out and called BS, I then proved you all wrong and explained how it can be done. It's as simple as that.
Dude your getting so far off topic now. Mercedes benz and other automakers have absolutely nothing to do with what I am talking about lol. I'll let you argue that one yourself, since I could care less.
I'm not dodging anything, your making up some stupid *** question because I proved you wrong and your angry lol. You just sound like an idiot now.

I still remember the day i pulled up next to a newer (it was around 03-04) dodge truck. I was just dicking around in my honda and chirped the tires. I could tell he wanted to have fun because he floored it. I was ahead of him noticing and giving it my all. He ***** me, still amused that a lifted heavy *** dodge ***** me.

Anyone who says Torque wins races shows their complete ignorance and lack of knowledge. Physics teaches us we can have all the torque in the world and be rotating at exactly 0 RPM. You wont get very far rotating at 0 RPM.
Physics also teaches us that Power is a unit of measure of F*D / time. Think of the power of an engine as Torque over rotational time. Time is what wins races, not ability to pull a 35' boat up a wet ramp.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Torque can be multiplied through gearing, horsepower can not.

If you want to talk about WHY torque wins races, a flat torque curve makes for a linear power curve which means linear acceleration, you can pull longer with out shifting gears with out loosing acceleration. Time shifting is what can make or break races, espesiall stomp and go races (like drag racing).

300hp 5.0 vs 300hp 13bTT, weight and traction being the same, the 5.0 will likely win by a bit because it has a flatter torque curve so it has a mroe linear power curve.

Basically, a 5.0 moves a lot in a period of time, the 13bTT moves less in a much shorter period of time. ie, the 13b makes its power at extremely high RPMs.
ok dude, if you say so....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

You didnt understand what I was getting it..... People always look at the HP ratings to see how fast there car is, and troque has just to much to do with it, or maybe even more... But yea you caught me, Im stupider than a pile of bricks when it comes to motors, and cars, and such.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

because i have a question that you're afraid to answer. lawl.
I'm not afraid to answer you, holy crap lol. Okay fine you retard, you will have your answer in a few hours (have something to do right now). Do you really want to get owned again though? Let me know if you don't, and I will just forget about it. If I don't get a reply asking me not to post pretty soon, then I'll just go ahead and make you look like a fool, again.

you really are going to make yourself look retarded FARVA. If its so easy/economical then why arent they doing it. If all it is, is tuning a cars ECU and certain motor parts, factories may have to have add a grand MAYBE! to each car. Your little computer program you use to tune your car, would be a billion dolla company if it were feasable. But its not, so therefore you ****.

Post # 13 in Eugenics' "I wish bbka and deerhunter would die of..." thread.

A really simple question that I've seen no answer provided for as of yet. So simple in fact, that I'll repost the query so nobody has to follow my link to see it:

If it's so bloody easy to build a high-power vehicle while retaining above-average fuel economy then why isn't said process in widespread use by every car manufacturer on the planet???
Hmmm???

Are you his fuking gay butt buddy or something? lol...

You all sound like your about 17 years old, maybe 18, but still not men yet haha.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I can see this eye rolling smiley is going to get a workout today lol.

Okay first of all, this stupid *** hypothetical question he made up is misleading and completely different than what I was talking about. If you morons would read back a few posts you should be able to figure this out on your own, but I will go ahead and attempt to make it a little clearer for you retarded people.

What he is asking is not practical at all and wouldn’t have a very big buying market. I mean really, why would your average soccer mom want a 700whp capable car? He sounds like a car salesman the way he asks the question also, 700whp and 30mpg!!! But really he is only looking at it on the surface, maybe he is too stupid to look at everything it takes to achieve that goal or what you’re really getting with a setup like this?

What I am talking about, like I said earlier, is very specific and has to do with a high horsepower Honda that gets good gas mileage. In this case, in order to get 700whp and still be able to get 30mpg out of the same motor and turbo setup (I just pulled these numbers out of my ***, but it should be doable. I was just trying to make a point, since this retard seemed to think my measly 230whp couldn’t get 30mpg lol). For this car you will be running pump gas and race gas, so not practical for a production car. Also it will be a street/strip setup, again a very specific and narrowed down buyer marking for a production car. It also won’t be running 700whp every day, that would only be at the drag strip. It would be more like 300-400whp daily, since anymore than that is useless on the street in a Honda. Oh and it only gets good gas mileage when your easy on the throttle or long trips on the freeway, any boosting and the mileage goes downhill fast, so again when a consumer looks into this, it might not look like the great deal that was advertised.

So really your looking at a 400whp daily car that gets about 30mpg on pump gas when your cruising on the freeway or very light on the throttle, but when you decide to take it to the drag strip you can drive it there on pump gas (while getting 30mpg), put race gas in it, turn the boost up, and put down 700whp all with the same motor and turbo setup. I already explained how this can be done (8 injector setup and tuning), so read back if you want to know how.

So let’s look at the cars that are out there in the real world. Let’s use the Corvette for example, not the Z06, but the regular convertible model. The Corvette comes with a 6.0L LS2 V8 that is rated at 400 horsepower and 28mpg on the freeway with the 6-spead transmission (I know this because I just checked the Chevy website). So that’s actually pretty close to the numbers I was claiming you would get from this high horsepower Honda while in street trim (lower boost and pump gas), you just won't get the 700whp on race gas at the strip with the Corvette. I guess you could build the motor up and install a turbo though, still giving you decent gas mileage when cruising on the freeway, yet when at the track you can crank the boost up.

Well I guess Chevrolet already took this concept and made it reality! All you need to do is install a turbo on a corvette.

Looks like you just got owned again!

Seriously, why wouldn't they. Stop avoiding the question. Does this not make sense to anyone else? answer the question. You're a top CEO. You can make millions maybe even BILLIONS by producing affordable cars that produce 500-700hp cars that get 30mpg. hell, lets say 40mpg, since they have the money to pull that out of engines.... why dont you do it?
quit making bogus excuses and answer the question.

Do you mean to imply that you're smarter than EVERY single automobile manufacturer in the whole world? Why aren't you a millionare yet?
this is actually a good question... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No it's not lol. Go read my previous post if you want a good answer to his stupid question. He's a whiny little girl that needs to quit talking instead of digging himself into and even deeper hole.

Just give up dude, your a retard. Also stop making up stupid questions, just so you can argue with me. You will only make yourself look like a bigger idiot. You also seem to keep forgetting I have the biggest e-penis in the world!
