when your looking at hondas, it takes a bit of cash to get fast, period. and of course its cheaper than building a domestic. that statement is specific to your car. 6 grand to make a civic fast (fast is breaking into 11's in my book) is a lot money.

I get what your saying, but saying torque wins races is retarded. It's just a stupid excuse V8 guys use. I see people at the track all the time, they are making tons of horsepower/torque, yet they can barely make it down the 1/4 mile.

i'm sure the engineers over at audi's shop think differently.

Not really man. You know what it takes to put a honda in the 11's? About 300whp and a set of slicks, that's all. In other words build a cheap custom turbo kit for about $1500, slap that on your LS/Vtec hatch you got from your buddy for $3,500 (just random guess), throw on a set of slicks and you have an easy 11 second car. I wouldn't call 5-6k for the car, motor, and turbo kit a lot for an 11 second car. That's pretty cheap when you look at how much stock hondas cost.
