I would have said buy a honda accord coupe with a v6 and you could even get a 6spd manual. That accord loaded is $30k that genesis loaded is over $34k
Yes, but the Genesis drives the correct wheels - the rear ones! Besides, I already had a 2007 V6 6MT Accord and my wife can't drive a standard. I am seriously considering a Genesis 2.0T with a turbo swap for my next vehicle. My chin hit the floor when I read about a 2.0T running high 12s with a turbo swap and a retune.
I came in here thinking i was going to see a -500wrms set up.But i seen 1500 watt amp... lot of power with the option for less i like, Did you get the idea of turning it the juice down encase later she wants more later all you'd have to do is swap some wires / twist a knob?
Was what i was thinking(until i searched and found the amp is really 500wrms)
i also see no highs/mids /no highs amp looks like you are in 1 step of a 3 step project. And i say that because with more bass should come more highs/mids.shpould be able to get away with 500rms setup i guess idk..
The vehicle comes with a "premium" sound system and a crappy subwoofer. It actually has a JBL amplifier powering all the speakers.
The True Bass sub is a DVC 2 ohm sub so I figured I would finally get a chance to use my Lunar subwoofer amp on something. Of course, the 500 watt RMS rating is a lie because it is closer to 700 watts RMS @ 1 ohm!
Unfortunately, I am afraid this will just be step 1 of a multi-step process. Wife wants more bass, so I am going to address her issue first. I also have a set of Genesis Profile 16 components to put up front for when she complains about the lack of mids and highs.
I am waiting until after CES to see if any of the manufacturers will come out with something that competes with the MS-8. I heard a rumor that both Arc and Alpine have some new factory integration processors in the works.
That port looks uber skinny. Nice amp though.
Sadly, that was the only way I could achieve a 32 Hz tuning without building the port bigger than the enclosure itself. I still have reservations about building the port area way below the traditional 66% of the Sd spec. Then again, the enclosure was built as cheap as possible as a "test box" and I can build another one if this one doesn't work out.
