actual wats?

I recently bought a jl audio 500watt mono amp to power a pair of 12ww3 that have a 4 ohm impedence. they are run parallel. Does this mean that them load has been droped too 2 ohms and they are dividing the rms evenly. I am not satisified with the volume level and just want something that hit's a bit harder. Considering going with fosgate t112 that are 2 ohm impedance to be wired also in parallel configuration. My question is this. Will the fosgate when run as mentioned recieve the full 500 watts if they have a 2 ohm impedence and is this amp reliable to push the load.....any help would be appreciated.

if your talking about the JL 500/1, that amp can run 500 rms @ either 1.5 ohm - 4 ohm.

have you adjusted your amp settings (gain/level, bass boost, filter, good signal, etc)

check out http://www.jlaudio.com for tutorials and basic descriptions of each ampflier.
