Accent lights on amp work, no power

I just hooked up a Hifonics Brutus 2008D amp in my car to power my subs. Earlier tonight, I fully installed the amp and second battery with 3 fuses: one by the engine battery, one on the cable from the trunk battery to the amp, and one by the trunk battery on the cable coming from the engine. I hooked up the box outside of the car (ran the speaker wire into the amp while the sub enclosure was outside the trunk), and everything worked perfectly.

THEN, I put the enclosure in the trunk and...NO SOUND from the sub enclosure!

The sub amp's power light won't even come on, but the accent lights come on. The cabin speakers work fine. I checked the seating of all cable on the trunk battery and engine battery, remote cable, speaker wire and RCA's and they are all fine. The fuses are all intact.

Why won't this ******** thing work?!? I've been agonizing over this for weeks now and need it to work for tomorrow!

GAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

WHAT?!? Open it up?!?!?

Even if I did, I'd have no idea what I am looking at!

d.a.m.n.it!

Fuses are fine, just resanded area around chasis ground and reseated it.

i would check your inline fuse by your battery very closely. this happened to me... my lights barely worked on the amp(hifonics 1208d) and got no power from the amp.. the only thing powering the amp was my HU connection with the RCA's.. i checked my inline fuse and it looked fine.. and for 2 days i couldnt figure out what was wrong.. then i took the inline fuse out and REALLY looked at it.. and saw that the bottom of it(which was not visible just by looking under the hood) was burnt and sure enuff the fuse was just BARELY disconnected.. got a new inline fuse and has been fine since

edit: also if your HU has a preout called "non-fader" thats the one you should have your rcas hooked up to.. thats the one that controls the sub.

Now, this is an interesting perspective.

I actually am using inline circuit breakers, not fuses. The fuses didn't seem to have tripped, but the accent lights *do* seem quite dim.

I'll check it out. Thanks! *holding onto hope that the problem lies in the circuit breakers*

yup my lights were very dim.. i was ready to send the amp back and get a new one because i thought the amp was ****ed up.. but it was just my inline fuse that i didnt check closely enough. woulda sent it back, they woulda tested it and found nothing wrong with it.
