about 3kw in a civic, what do i need to upgrade?

I am getting ready to put 2 jl audio 1000/1's in with each one powering a fi BL 12

I am running a 300/2 to my door woofers, and a 450/4 to my mid and tweets.

This is all going into a 08 civic. I replaced the big three with 1/0 and put a optima yellow under the hood and in the trunk. Will this be enough to beef up my electrical to a happy point? What else should i do? Thanks

as always make sure that you have fuses on both ends of the power wire thats running through your car, make sure the grounds are solid when you do it, and have a good dmm handy to make sure your volts arnt dropping, i agree on the 3rd yellow top or maybe switch from that to a higher power kenetik or decka,

I'd do another battery and go from there. High output alt in the near future though.

You guys think a third yt will do it? An alt is out of the budget anytime soon... I have been collecting all the other components for some time... I can get yt bats at cost through a buddy so even a third bat is very doable in the forseeable future... From mecman a alt starts at $500...

One other idea, say I was able to sell the jl 1000/1 amps, what is something else tat will give me 2kw of clean power at a good price?

an aq2200 would give you the power that your looking for, you can usually find one around here on on some of the other classifieds, there not the cheapest but they sound amazing

To the OP, you better find a way around your Electrical Load Detector otherwise you are in for misery! Honda's ELD kicks in to drop your charging voltage once the system "stabilizes" in order to conserve fuel. While your car may start charging out in the 14s, the ELD will usually drop into the 12s, between 12.5 and 12.7 volts, to add to your fuel economy.

One wire alternators will do it, but your car will throw a code and I don't remember if it will go into limp mode or not.
