A weird ebay situation

I ordered some alarm parts from a reputable power seller (like 14k feedback) on June 30th. On July 5th or so, I got an email saying that his account had been closed on ebay! WTF?! Now I'm sitting here praying that my items come and if they don't, what can I do? The guy no longer has an account with ebay and I think that it's messed up. Have people pay and expect their items and ebay just lets him close his account?

happened to me with another internet store. i went to their domain (http://www.storename.com) and e-mailed them. they replied saying theyre account was suspended over some sort of misunderstanding.. i asked for my money back or to have the item sent. they looked into it and saw that i made payment so they sent the item. you can still do transactions with them on the side if theyre cool enough and you get in touch with them. everything should be fine im sure they wont rip u off.

eBay has suspended our account.

We posted St. John’s Wort as a sale item today.

For reasons we can not figure out, they suspended our account due to their automated system flagging this as a pharmaceutical medication (i.e. - a prescription drug) which is not allowed on eBay. As you know, St. John’s Wort is an herb, not a drug.

We have a written appeal submitted to eBay protesting the error. We await and anticipate complete resolution of this silly, but highly inconvenient and frustrating situation.

Since this a first for us, we are investigating the status of your order as best we can, but the eBay system locking us out as it is you. What we can assure is that we will ship your item to you … if it has cleared the PayPal system. If your item is not yet cleared in PayPal, we can not access your order and can not ship it.

We hope to have re-instatement of our account within 24 hours, but we can not guarantee that until we hear more from eBay.

We’ll stay in close e-mail contact with you as more information is know.

I did pay through Paypal, but I've heard horror stories about them. Ebay owns Paypal I believe and I've heard they would do anything to support their power sellers and seeing as this guys account doesn't exist anymore, I'm afraid it'd be too easy for them to come up with some BS.

No, there were 2 other auctions in which I bought from. Those listings have been removed for some reason. I had the seller send me an invoice with the combined shipping because ebay is too retarted to come up with that feature. So it's more like $58 and some change.
