A question for the anti JL Audio people out there

I decided to sell it cause I didnt have the money to get a new amp after my old one fried and yes I did get it at Audio Visionz. My uncle owns it which is a big reasons I've become a JL fan. I've always used the stuff he sell and just decided I want to try something new.

JL subs are hard to beat SQ wise, particularly the w6 and w7....only sub I've owned or heard so far that compares to my w6s for less is the Dayton Reference HO. The, ever so hyped Fi Q is nothing special IMO especially in the SQ world.

Of that list Bettr n revrse linked you, I'd look into the Dayton or maybe the SSA subs...the other ones will cost just as much if not more than say a w6 and/or won't "stomp/crush" the w6 SQ-wise regardless of what's cool online.

True SQ is about the setup more than the woofer. SQ comps have been won with DD's before.

And dammit people the Fi Q wasn't designed for the "SQ world"

How about a W6? It's a nice sounding sub.
I had a couple Soundsplinter subs a while back. I was pretty happy with the sound they produced. I had the RL-i and RL-p.

Also look into Fi Car Audio. I plan on trying their Q series sub.
I've heard (and owned) Q setups, and while the Q is by no means a bad sounding woofer, it isn't an "SQ" sub.

Well, obviously lol. But when I say sq sub I'm referring to a fairly easily attainable flat response and transparency over tonality.

You can make lots of subs work, some will take more effort. A true sq sub, to me, doesnt make U work as hard for that sound u want/need.
