A question for the anti JL Audio people out there

Ok I'm thinking about doing a 1 sub set up in my 99 Lincoln Town car(Big body) and I'm a big JL fan. I love the sound of them. So for you people out there that think you can do just as good if not better than JL for the price what would you recomend? Keep in mind I'm looking for SQ over SPL.

SoundSolutionAudio's subs are supposed to be very nice sounding drivers that are capable of getting fairly loud too. But if you like JL so much, why not buy a JL sub that you know you like?

I had a 13W7 and I loved it but I'm wanting to go with less power(around 500) and I dont want to spend a $1000 on a sub.

Obsidian Audio also makes a nice sounding subwoofer that is very budget friendly and would work well on the power you plan to run.

Well for one. I want to know what amp your going to have running the sub and what jl sub were you looking at getting. How much do you want to spend on it also? and the list better in reverse gave was a pretty good one. Also your going to have to build your own custom enclosure for the woofer to make it really sound good but thats with any woofer you choose

How about a W6? It's a nice sounding sub.

I had a couple Soundsplinter subs a while back. I was pretty happy with the sound they produced. I had the RL-i and RL-p.

Also look into Fi Car Audio. I plan on trying their Q series sub.

tc sounds or ssa even sundowns sa series has some decent sq... oh and dayton

I have a feeling you'd be pretty happy with one of Dayton's reference series subs. Very SQ oriented subs.
