uhoh.. IB Man himself... watch out opSo... did you know what infinite baffle (IB) was before you bought the sub?
I'm just curious.
wow, little common sense goes a long wayPainting the cone shouldn't make any noticeable difference in performance. Im not sure painting the cone with gloss black was a great idea tho, flat black would have probably looked better imho.
Yes, and I do not believe there is a such thing as an "infinite baffle" sub. The only way this particular driver is different than a "normal" driver is it has a smaller motor, a low BL.... but for my applictaion that's perfect... because I love HUGE low tuned boxes that require less power to begin with, and I love to play for long periods of time so this well vented pole piece helps a lot. If I was going for a 4 cube box and a 33Hz tuning, I wouln't have selected this driver, or, if I was going for 5cubes or less sealed.So... did you know what infinite baffle (IB) was before you bought the sub?

please post vid.very curious if this is tru.Why doesnt every company paint their subs shiny black if it adds a solid 2.3db?whatever man, it only adds 2.3dB![]()
so I guess you believe that every single sub is built for the same exact application then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifYes, and I do not believe there is a such thing as an "infinite baffle" sub. thats not what i said, I suppose you think every sub with particular prefferences for a particular application can only be used for that application thenso I guess you believe that every single sub is built for the same exact application then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
you stated that you don't believe there is such thing as an IB sub that all it is is a sub with a smaller magnet and large pole vent. Which you are incorrect about. the TS parameters are completely different and is designed specifically for running the sub in an IB application. Does this mean that the subs can only be used in IB setups? No but that is what it is designed for. Whether you want to believe it or not an IB sub does exist, just as subs designed for sealed or ported enclosures do.thats not what i said, I suppose you think every sub with particular prefferences for a particular application can only be used for that application then
