A little worried

Well, I may have to hang up my car audio boots. They found a mass in my colon and I go next week for a colonoscopy to see if its cancerous. Its in the sigmoid colon, so its a high chance that it is cancerous. Depends on the stage as to treatment options. I'm not freaking out, yet. Right now I have the, it is what it is attitude.

My dad was stage 3 at 65 and made a full recovery. Docs are badasses now and even better in the USA surely. Hopefully, it's not that.

Man, I hate to here this. I lost my wife to stage four cancer in December. My second lost wife in 13 years. I am here for you to talk too if you need me, I hope that you still have my contact info, if not, just shoot me a pm, and we can chat dude.

Well I go in tomorrow for my second colonoscopy. My first I thought was good. But MRI after showed different. Your sigmoid colon should be 4-5cm in diameter. Mine is 2-3cm. Which means something is causing the narrowing. So at 11 tomorrow I go in for a sigmoidoscopy.

The narrowing could be caused by three things. Diverticulitis scarring, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (I don’t have the symptoms for this) or cancer. My white blood cell count has been off, so not sure what the outcome will be. Hoping it’s not cancer. But if it is, it is what it is. I’m 53 and have had a very privileged life. I have busted my *** to get where I am. Making $88k a year, and always have money to spend. Have $500k life insurance, so if it’s my time, at least my wife will be taken care of.

As I said, oncologists are badass SOBs but yes, the road to recovery will be challenging. Be strong bro.. I'll pray.
