a little problem...

My fuse box: The "Panel" fuse keeps blowing. I had an alarm installed by this guy like a year ago, and he sucked, thought he knew his shit, next time I'll do it myself, anyways, my Speedometer, tachometer, so on: dash lights are not working, and its that fuse that keeps blowing. I have a multimeter and I'd love a way to diagnose this problem, before it escalates into a costly issue. Please let me know what I should do, I am mechanically inclined so I can take care of it myself, now if only I knew what the hell to do, haha. Thanks---Sean

Its an 2006 Toyota Camry FYI

I don't know if this will be the same thing but I had something somewhat similar, I was installing my HU and one of the wires wasn't covered so it was just bare wire and it kept touching something when I put the HU back into the dash, and that turned off and blew the fuse everytime. I'd check for bare wires around touching anything and put electrical tape on them.

Thanks I'll take out my HU.

if you dash lights are not working, the alarm must be tapped in to the parking lights. do thoes work?

use the multi meter to check continuity to ground. see if any wires are being grounded. to blow the fuses.
