How should I wire my new subs?

I have a Kenwood KAC-7252:

170 watts RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms

250 watts x 2 RMS @ 2 ohms

500 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms

I have two DVC Pioneer 12 inch subs 4ohm (400 watt RMS)

How should I wire the subs for hardest hitting bass? I listen to rap, heavy bass, so I want to get it wired the best way possible. Thanks!

to get all 500 watts @4 ohms bridged, you need to wire it as follows.......

i believe its called wiring it series/parallel....not sure, but here's how its done

wire each sub's 1 terminal side together....+ to -, and + to -

then wire the subs TOGETHER + to +, and - to -, then to the box terminal+ and -

then just wire the box's + to amps +, and - to amp's -

that will give the 4 ohm DVC subs a 4 ohm load on the amp......hope that makes sense for you

thanks for clearing that up because i thought since you wired the pos and neg of each voice coil to each other that only one would be used.
yea, both. The one side of the sub w/ the terminals just gets wired together.....+ to -
