A Little Amp Help PLEASE

Hello, I just bought a 1500 watt Powerbank amp today from a friend of mine to replace a 1000 watt amp i had that had no name brand on it with my two Kicker CVR 10" subwoofers. When i hooked up the new amp for some reason my head unit and my new amp do not turn off now when i turn my car off, im guessing this has something to do with the remote wire but i have never had this problem before with any of the other four amps i have ever had and all i did was unplug the remote from the old amp and plug it into the new one. Another thing... For some reason the 1500 watt amp is not even as loud as the 1000 watt amp i had before. Is it because powerbank is a bad brand or do i possible have it hooked up wrong, or am i missing something?? I tried adjusting the knobs all kinds of different ways for about an hour and still couldnt get a good sound out of it. I have my switch on the lpf setting. If there is anything anyone knows that could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Corey

Oh and i do NOT have a crossover or anthing.

Post the specs of your amp, and the impedance of your subs (d2 or d4) and how many subs you have. That should help members in making sure you wired them correctly. And wtf is Powerbank? Ive never heard of them, i guess its another one of those brands that try to sound like a more known company. When buying an amp fuse ratings tell alot about an amplifiers output. If your last amp has 2 40A fuses, and your current one has 2 20A fuses, then you roughly have half the power you had before.

Thanks king, i dont understand what you mean by d2 or d4 (They are 4 Ohm Subs if thats what you mean) but all the amp says on it is Powerbank P 1500. And the 1000 watt amp i had before took one 25 amp fuse where the 1500 watt now has one 30 amp fuse. I have two 10" Kicker CVR subs wired normally to my amp posotive to posotive neg to neg not bridged, but i tried bridging it and it wasnt any louder at all.

ok stop calling it a 1500 watt amp Please. Ok here we go so your last amp had a fuse rating of 25 amps thats roughly 250-300 watts that that amp was capable of actually putting out, now the new amp has a rating of 30 amps thats roughly 300-350 watts so your not really getting any more wattage than before. A 50 watt difference you will not notice.

Ok if your subs are DUAL 4 OHM subs(meaning each sub has 2 voice coils, and they are both 4 ohm), then wire the subs series parallel and bridge the amp, or just wire each sub parallel and wire each sub to its own channel. Do a search online, theres many diagrams that show you how. Those 2 configurations should give you maximum power to your subs out of that amp. Those subs by the way should be fed like 300wrms + a peice. Meaning whatever amp you buy next should be a mono amplifier stable down to 1 ohm, and should have like 60A worth of fuses or more and do yourself and buy a class D, more efficient than class AB. But if you have the electrical I wont tell you not to buy a AB.

You guys are assclowns. He didn't ask how to wire his subs, he asked why his stuff won't turn off.
Please take back your statement, if you read his whole post you would understand. I cannot help him with the question about it not turning off, but he was asking why it isnt as loud as it was.

Hell yeah lol. This shit should be beatin haha. sounds like shit compared to before.
I am just making sure he has his subs wired up properly to get maxiumum power out of his amplifier.

You fail Billjones.
