I am thinking of getting the rd 1750.1 for the re se's, but just wanted to see if this might be too much power. I have read that other people have used this setup and had good results, so I am fairly confident it will be good. I thought about getting a saz 1500, but figured why not get a little more power for the same price. I also considered the ia20.1 because it I have read its a bad *** amp, but this might be overkill for the se's. If I tune the amp right, will this be a good choice. Or are there other amps I should consider that would be a better fit. The subs will be in a sealed box. I appreciate anyone's input.

haven't got the subs yet, but are pretty set on the se's. I want a good combo and spl/sql and these I feel are one of the best. If I didn't get subs, I was thinking of getting subs around 1000 rms and they would be better matched with the 1750 or ia20.1, but that might be crazy loud for me. Also, I am not sure if there are good combo subs like the se in the 1000 rms range. It seems like as you get higher, it is more spl oriented. What do you think.

i heard ported kind of beats the subs a little and you'll get a more muddled bass sound. However, I read that that the se shine's when ported, so are not sure. I just want them to last a while and sound good. My local installer recommended they be sealed. What is your opinion. I know 2 se's sealed would get louder than one ported, but do you think the money for the extra sub is worth it. I listen to mostly hip hop and like bass. Also, where you at in washington. I used live in Oak harbor on whidbey island, now I'm in sunshine state, lol.

I think I probably go with the saz 1500d, because it is a little less power and a few other people have mentioned it would be good match with se's. Just wanted to ask about the rd first though. Is there any other efficient and reliable amps in this rms range and for my setup. I know the md2d is out there, and some mainstream stuff like memphis, kicker, etc, but haven't came across to many that I thought were very impressive. Any thoughts?

bass can be muffled, but install dependent to make it sound good.

tune it low(30-32ish) and it should be good.

definitely need to port it if you listen to rap, just my opinion.

I live out near bremerton/port orchard area, I have been out to OH in a long time.

there is no reason why u cant get the RD, more power for the same price, and good quality is all the explanation i would need. And you will be perfectly safe if u just use a DMM to set your gains. give out a safe RMS and u will always have more power to grow into

The Sundown and the RD that you're comparing are very very similar amplifiers - very similar power. Both are great amps. Another thing I'd like to put in your mind is the RD Sonances. Get plenty loud and are GREAT sounding woofers.

You will not be disappointed in either amplifiers, and I promise you wont be disappointed in those Sonances either. They're great woofers.

There actually the same amp....just named differently bud.... same power and what not... benched you might see an increase of a few watts one over the other...but overall... nothing youll notice

same mosfets(300watt, high quatitly) the powersupplies are capaible of 2400 RMS but ya need 15 volts..both the RD and sundown do 1600 or so @ 12.5 and about 1800@ 13.8 i have seen a pretty clean 2200@14.5.. actually if you set you gains you can get a fairly clean 2K running them @ .5 mono just keep the voltage above 12.5 and keep it venelated and your perfectly fine..
