A litte info u should know about Nathan Peddicord...Owner of Excessive Amperage

they all **** unless they are honest . i have mine built local. BTW learn to work on cars MOB, what kinda man are you, cant change an alt. unless u own a ferrari or something sophisticated then ill understand it but cmon A FORD!
x2

I bought 2 alt from him the first for a 03 s-10 no problems

the 2cd for a 05 silverado major issues charged at 12.3 everyonce and a while would get to 13.5 he said it was the belt tried that did not solve issues paid a local shop to rebuild it they said the regulator in the alt was bad $50 solved the problem nate would not return my calls so I just ate the $50 and he lost a customer

I have a 07 accord and now ohio genoator is going to make me one just sent money today

i got a 180a.

i never see 14.4v on my charging system but i have a feeling that my front battery is dead and not helping. the alternator does charge but only when the ecu doesn't regulate it. though i still usualy only see 12.v like as if i was running a stock alt.. meh. too bad i live in a shit hole where no one can test the output of my alt. :/

this company will go down fast with all of this talk about how crappy his service is and his products. I never know how this forum would change companys and things like that.
Lawl, this has been going on for years - it hasn't just recently popped up on a forum. I remember years ago I was looking into a HO alt, and some people said great things about Nate's prices, but too many others said terrible things about his quality. Needless to say, I didn't get one.

there was a stint a few months back on here where EVERYONE was all on EA's nutsack, recommending them in every alternator thread and bashing the hell out of iraggi, even though they both seem to have roughly the same % of unsatisfied customers.

i've bought one from each company, and i'll stick with iraggi.

mine is the smallest case out there,, its pushing 170a on a not so hot day it does 14.4,, other wise its around 14.0 v.. plus ohio gen wanted 490.00 for a alot for my car and thats a

180 amp

most 300 amp alts dont charge at ideal.. you are better off with 2 200 , or 2 250s
Correct.
Mostly anything that size will kick in aroun 1500 to 2000 Rpm's. Some 250s do the same thing. All depends.

I stick with what works for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Now. As for nate well i cant speak. I have never used any of his alt's. I know people that get excellent Alternators from him and i have personally tested and installed them and they where awesome.

Sometimes DIY companies get overwhelmed with demand. Mistakes happen. Hopefully it all gets worked out for you.

yeah ohio quoted me $520.00 for a 180 for my car

i wish they would send out some kind of proof of a working alt test like an amps birthsheet or such when they rebuild alts.

cause it's not fun having to take 3hrs of removing panels and parts off your car to put on an alt and find out it's not working. or even when people take theirs to a shop. shit gets pricey..

I have same exact Truck as Mobeious and EA 300 amp alt

Mann idk how he got bad customer service, Nate sent me the wrong model or what not for my 300a the first time and called me like the next day after emailing

Got my alt installed.....14.7 on batts at idle with nothing on.....bout 14.5 with 2 500.1s on, drop to low 12s with 2 500.1s at .5 ohm

I been in contact with mobeious through the whole thing so i know about the headaches and each time he sent it in....sucks man

Good luck

My experience with Nate and EA gets a A-, only minus cuz i got the wrong alt the first time lil inconvenience

But im good on my voltage even on back batts with only a single 4ga run to them
