A Bit confused...

So, long time lurker... first post.

I'll try to not be tooooo annyoing with the "which to buy" question, but the more that I read the forums and research amps, I am growing a bit befuddled.

So far i have purchsed for my BMW 323 Convertible MB Quart q series 5.25 component fronts and Q series 4" Component backs (I know weird but that is the stock config for the car). -- I liked the sound of the MB Qs so I bought those...

I am thinking of buyinh one TC-1000 10" for the subs... impressed with the workmanship and oem for SVS which is hella home sub...

And the annyoing question is....

WHich amplifier line?

The qs need appx 75- 100 @ 4 ohm the TC is recommended 300 @ 4 but the website says feel free to give it 1000. So lets say we buy the dual voice coil and run appx 500-600 @ 2 ohm.

I am looking for solid, clean amps that are self explanatory in set up,. I like the concept of getiting a good deal for my money, however I am willing to spend what is necessary in order to get good performance for my system.

I could care less about spl other than to be sufficient to blast over wind noise with the top of the convertible down. SQ is important to me as I am a bit of a home stereo geek -- go axiom--

I hope that I haven't been too annoying woth a noob question....

Just in the last little while I was trying to sell my Audison LRx amps, not because I didn't like them, but because I needed to free up some cash. Since Audison released the newer LRx lineup the ones I have are selling for very reasonable prices. I sold both of the 2 channel amps I had, but the average selling price has decreased so much that it doesn't really make much sense for me to sell the 1.400 (650watts @ 2ohms). I'll keep it to run my 12w6v2 and pick up a 4.300 and bridge it to my front speakers for 210x2 @ 4ohms.

The only complaint I've heard about these amps is how they can run pretty hot, but usually that's when they are run to their full potential (ie. Running the 1.400 at 1 ohm). It's for this reason that I don't think they make very good SPL amps, but in terms of overall quality they still rock. If you are looking for some quality amps for

(All this was assuming you'll run your rear speakers off of deck power.)

There are some cheaper options like the JBL GTO lineup that would be worth considering if you're looking to spend a little less.
