9885 problem

I just bought an alpine cda 9885 off ebay, it is not refurb or anything, and it came brand new in the box wrapped up and everything. well i got it hooked up and everything worked except for the CD player. it wont accept CD's and when u hit the eject button it makes a loud clicking sound in the rear of the unit. i emailed the guy i got it from but im waiting on him to get back to me. any ideas on what the problem could be.

Faulty unit. I would get a replacement.
