Hey i just wanted to let everyone know the great expericence i have had with kenwood. I purchased the KDC-X590 over a year ago and sent it to a local shop for repair. The unit stopped reading cd's, and kenwood quickly covered the payment. 6 months later (a month out of warrenty) the dislpay stopped working. I contacted kenwood agian, and simple stated that i was unhappy with this lemon of a headunit and really do not want to wait for another 3 weeks for it to be fixed. The service rep faxed me info to tape to box, and said do not worry about the warrenty going bad. Just send the unit in, and we will replace it asap. I promply sent the unit in and 5 days later recieved the newer model KDC-x591, with a new 2 year warrenty. The rep even emailed me to ensure it was satasified and if there is anything else they can do for me. +1 for kenwood
For the money i think this is the best headunit out there. 4 volt preouts, mp3 etc, and a 4 foot usb cord that i can to the glovebox that i use a 4 gb flash drive for music, divided up into 30 or so named folders. The song name / artist scrolls across screen and is easy to use. I am not currently amping im factory sounds and the 22 rms a channel internal amp does the job great. If you are in the market for a new headunit, i would highly advise making this your first choice.
