Actually, if he did unscew and used a dowel+glue in the scew hole, that would be okay as well.
I am also curious of this 15,000 RPM router. I don't think black and decker makes one that actually does 15,000 RPM. My Makita does 6k and it is a very nice unit.
I am not going to comment on his enclosure as it took me a couple tries to make a ring. Since this thread has gone to hell anyway, I will explain how I did it for those who read ( I am also willing to take suggestions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)
1) I use a large piece of mdf layed on my ping-pong table
2) I put another piece that's pretty big on top of it because the jasper jig spins around. If you use a small piece one of the scews will fall of the ledge and make your ring jacked up.
3) Use a 2" screw and screw down inside the ring, but not the middle because that is where the pin goes. Make sure the scew is flush.
4) Do the outer ring using several sweeps. I got this hint from helotaxi. I agree, much less stress on the router.
5) Do the inner ring the same way.
6) Lift out the ring.
* I also noticed that if you go the other way a bit it clears out a lot of sawdust and makes it easier. Route for a couple inches then back off, so on and so forth. I will post some pics tomorrow. I am pretty excite that it came out the way I envision in my head.
