97 Range Rover Speakers

I have this new (to me) vehicle to tear apart and I have no 3 way setups.......

I do have some higher end (to me) 6.5" components, but I am needing some 3.5" speakers for the doors.....

Thing is, I'm not sure if they are 3.5" or 4" speakers...I took them out and they measure to 3.5", but still not sure... (1997 Land Rover Range Rover 4.6HSE with 11 speaker Harmon Kardon, if you want to search). I have looked everywhere to find what size speaker it is, to no avail.....

My question.....is there such thing as a higher end 3.5" or 4" speaker?? If so, do I purchase a crossover seperate for just that speaker? Or adjust it with the amplifier controls? Anyone help me out?? I really don't want to dump money into a all new 3 way setup for just this truck!

You would have to measure mounting diameter also... this is easy, just measure the hole in the door.

The crossover on decent speakers systems is tailored for those model drivers only. You would need to buy a new 3-way component set that comes with it's own dedicated crossover.

Most of the aftermarket sets come with a 4" mid. I think the new Lagtia might be a 3.5", you would have to look them up for more info. If the factory is 3.5", it's possible the hole/install could be modified to fit a 4", just depends on the measurements.

They are 4" speakers.....just had it confirmed......

Any suggestions?? I don't want another tweeter, just looking for a 4" with crossover
