yea this is a tough choice for me, i already bought the cadence's 2 days ago but just found out about these Phoenix Gold's and read lots of positive reviews on here, so its makin me think //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ill be using this amp http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=125&idproduct=383

4 Ohm RMS Power: 4 x 75 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

2 Ohm RMS Power: 4 x 150 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

4 Ohm Bridged RMS Power: 2 x 300 Watts @ 13.8 Volts

im a noob and new to the car audio thing but im guessin ill be doin 4 channel for the front and rear speakers if that makes sense, and I wont b havin a sub till later on. Im just gonna get 1 daytona reference and have 2 channels go into that, im more into the SQ than to much bass.

they will be run at 4 ohms so you can use the amp as a 4 channel and get 75 watts x 4 or bridge the amp and get up to 300 x2. you could put them on that amp bridged but be very very careful with the gains. set them for around 150 per side if you decide to bridge it.

ah alrite thanks for lettin me kno bout that, ill guess ill be bridgin and forgettin about the rear speakers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what kind of car is it? if it's not a huge car just a single set of fronts will do fine for most people. i am running my rears off my HU faded out real low, or completely off. i was running faded low, but yesterday i tried them off and the only difference i noticed is it pulled the stage more forward, i didn't notice a change in volume or sound other than staging.

The car is a 2 door honda accord 91 and so yea sounds like i only need a single set of just fronts.

So Im gonna do what your doin with ur rears and have em powered off the pioneer DEH-P5900IB head unit i just bought.

and i also bought 1(QT) edead V1se since it was real cheap, but o dunno if thats enuff for wut i need for dampenin the doors well

I have the Cadence comps. It's a real tough choice between the two, but with either set 75w isn't really enough power to bring them to their full potential.
