96 Explorer build

Well snoopdan rolled up this way tonight and didn't get to test much but 145.7 @35hz was what seemed to be my peak but I believe I have a bad alt letting voltage drop way too fast..Testing ended after 6 quick notes and the cops arrival...

145.7 on 2 18's

I'm disappointed...

Yeah i am pretty sure it has gone to shit cause instantly the volts drop all the way to 11.5 and just keep falling..I shut it off at 11volts and thats with me holding rev around 3k...I also believe i may have accidently tuned the box to around 30hz...

um few months after world finals 07, before i put the 4 18's in it.I was putting ****** fluid in the new ***** and the the dip stick hit the distributor, shocked the hell out of me

in my 2000 4dr explorer box volume is very sensitive. without doing thorough testing on the amp/sub combo i can lose substantially on the meter.

nice job on the explorer. its really nice having the amps and batteries in the back seat area.

Yeah i had derrick on here help me design the box since he also does his tests and stuff in a 96 explorer..And definitely alt has gave up good thing i have all those batteries..The explorer peaked at 35hz so I am pretty sure it is tuned really low..

yeah i think thats the only reason the SS 10K I had didnt kill it. yeah i could have saved u some fab time i had a battery box built just like u have but it would have held 3 dekas already in it but took it out before hand.

How loud does it get now? I'm used to a friend's ride doing 158db right now, well thats what he hit in Meca for 1st in his class last year, now he is working on new setup, where you use concrete in the floors and doors and lexan for the windshield. Well you can sometime friday as I will be off it does 145.7 and I just found out I have the box tuned to 32hz cut my aeros a little long I will be fixing that and getting the tuning to 36hz..

nice! I cant view the pics, work computer FTL! But did you get the 100.4 and the 50.4 all wired up and all the tweeters in?
