95 Civic Del sol stripped apart, Sound deadener showdown product install

Months later I still have not had a chance to get my doors done. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif... and now its winter time...ahh. I need to get this done so I can finally install my setup.

How many sq ft of the cld tiles did you end up using?
I honestly dont remember. I know for everything except the doors I used like maybe 30 tiles or so. I have like 20 or 30 for the doors alone though sitting in my house With the MLV and closed cell foam.

The easiest way to figure out how many tiles you will need to get to 25% coverage is to multiply the width and height in inches and divide by 240. For example, I'm working out a quote for a pickup right now. The floor is 47"X65". 47 x 65 = 3055. 3055 / 240 = 12.729. For a floor I average down so it will get 12 CLD Tiles. For more resonant panels like doors, the roof, etc. - round up.

That's an easy way to figure how many CLD Tiles you'll need. If you are going for a full noise reduction application I can give you the measurements to take and then figure out exactly what you'll need.

I was wondering how much ccf and mlv you used since I have a del sol as well.
Te best way to figure out what you will need is to measure:

1) Height and width of door exterior sheet metal.

2) Height and width of door interior trim panels.

3) Width of the floor (include the sides and top of the center tunnel if there is one).

4) Distance from as far up the firewall as you can reach to the back edge of the floor.

5) Height and width of the kick panel areas.

6) Length and width of the trunk floor.

7) Depth and diameter (length and width, if not circular) of spare tire well.

8) Length and width of the trunk lid.

9) Height and width of the quarter panels.

Im not even sure... I Know it was one layer of each 1/8th thick. It really wasnt alot.
I'm not sure we used any 1/8" CCF . Maybe on the back wall? Definitely 1/4" on the floor and doors. 1/8" will work well in most areas, but you want 1/4" in the foot wells since that area is subject to compression from your feet and legs. I like to squeeze 1/4" into the doors since it helps with rattles in the trim panels.
