this build is already hurting my ears good work cant wait to see more pics and video when its done
You'd probably slap me if you knew where I was running it now, lol... There's a space near the hood hinge where the wire can slip under un-impeded, and it runs down through the door jamb and into the car. Nothing's getting pinched, but the blue color of the wiring has all but dissolved //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I agree with you usually, but give the dood a break. He is trying to learn and knows he shouldn't have done that. Most of us have done something like that at one time or another. I know I did. Least he is getting this one straight. You lose. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Well I have a pretty good alarm with remote pager. I know nothing is completely foolproof but it's been good to me so far. I never leave anything vaulable in the car that's tempting to curious theives, I always remove my radio faceplate, and I never play my system when I pull into my apartment complex.I would fear thieves once your done //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifIf that's your parking lot, have the 9 ready
all night long. That is going to be one sweet
setup.
but i am sure there is somewhere the wire can go thru... heh.. just gotta look hard..
Thanks for the insight guys I will definitely get off my lazy arse tomorrow and find me a hole to run both wires through. And if that fails I'll take a DeWalt to the summbish //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifif there isnt a hole in the firewall that you can reach and use, get a drill and make one....after that its really easy to run the wire these lacs have huge wire tracks running along the floor of the car.
Nice build, good luck with it. I like your ideas.
Thanks I will def. post videos, I'm going to attempt a before/after vid with the Damplifier Pro as well.this build is already hurting my ears good work cant wait to see more pics and video when its done

Haha thanks for the defense guys I'm used to that sort of stuff around here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif. But people like you all that help new car audio enthusiasts are doing everyone a big favor, and tend to win out over some of the arseholes around here (you know who you are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) so thanks again. I've learned untold amounts on these forums and other sites around the web because I really want to do it right this time. I wanna be the guy people tell "Maaan you gotta help me hook my stuff up like that!" lol...I agree with you usually, but give the dood a break. What that main fuse is actually protecting is the power cable. CCA wire has a current carrying capacity of up to 250 amps according to Knu website, and I matched the fuse with the wire.Looks good man. Im getting that same amp kit? Im curious why your fuse is so big? I thought u wanted to match it to the amp and as far as I know the aq has a 200 amp fuse
why are you going to run 2 gauges of wire....if you ask me the single run of 1/0 is more then enough for your system...Next pics I will have up tomorrow will be the 1/0ga and 4ga cable runs, underhood shots, etc... Subs should be here this coming week, and after that I can't do much til' Thurs (payday //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif)
and knows he shouldn't have done that.
Looks nice - I can dig the car and the rims. AND........................................
Lol thanks and no it is not fake.i hope that tat is fake
Because the 4ga is already there, and by adding the 1/0ga onto it I'm avoiding having to remove the old wire, and buy a distrobution block.why are you going to run 2 gauges of wire....if you ask me the single run of 1/0 is more then enough for your system...
Well when I ran this a year ago I didn't think it was a bad idea, I mean there's plenty of space in between the door and the car. But now I've read up on the correct way to do it and now I shall re-run the wire the correcy way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifNormally I wouldn't bash if I thought he made a noob mistake. Maybe I missed something? It seems he knew better but did it anyway. At least the way I read it? If so, then he's taking the easy way out and deserves a good thump on the noggin. That's why I was so harsh.
Heck, at least once or twice a month I'm correcting things like this for the neighborhood kids for free. Or at least letting them borrow my tools and my driveway so they can correct it while I point them in the right direction.
I wish I was one of the kids in your driveway! I be like, hey you said we could use your tools! I just thought this sweet looking car you have here looked like a big tool! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifNormally I wouldn't bash if I thought he made a noob mistake.
