93 Chevrolet Lumina - Head Unit

Alright so, that harness and dash install kit, whatever headunit I get. Then just the connecting the harnesses with the old/new. Sounds like I got it down. Are you able to show me some closeups of how to "twist" the wire, or any other methods to connect them?

do you have wire strippers? if so, all you need is the crimp connector kit that comes free with the stereo off of that website, and your set, if not, a decent pair of wire strippers can be had for 10-15 bux....somewhere's in that range.

Then to the headunit. Most say like 45w x 4 or something like that. I'm guessing 4 will work because im using 4 speakers. What about the wattage, with these old speakers?

when they blow they blow, stock speakers in any gm pre 2002 had junk in it, including the monsoon systems....course any stock speaker system is junk period, but ac delco...come on!...lol

shouldn't be a major problem if you don't crank it alot though, and if you don't like any midbass.

forget the whole twist idea and just get butt connectors, much more simple to figure out, but if you did just twist, which you'll need wire nuts for that process, because twisting and taping is THEE absolute worst method, but there's no major science to twisting them together.....speacially with a wire nut....

Can you post a picture of these butt connectors you are talking about? I've seen many types and I just want to have a visual picture in the back of my mind..

I think I got it down but I've never done it before so who knows //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Sycamore, about 60 miles west of chicago, right next to Dekalb which is home of NIU
