Ok, working on my of my freinds car's from school. He has a 91 Jeep Cheroke. During the winter i had gone over and hooked up his system for him. He has a pair of explors off a legecy amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif He also has a Legecy HU //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif Not very good stuff but its his system so i respect that. Sometime between the winter and now he had unhooked his stuff and tryed rewiring it all back together. He wasn't able to get it working so he's be nagging on me to do it for a couple months. Now that track is done i finally have the time to do it. Was over there today and ran into so wierd problems. I used InstallDr.com for the wiring. I used the same sheet as i had before. Couldn't figure out why the wires weren't matching up. I had the wrong car but i had everything wired right. I had the 12v battery wired, ground blah blah blah, but I couldn't remember what the 12v ignition was. I tryed all the wires that i had left over and couldn't get any power to the HU. Since i've been home i got the right scematic and learned that the wire i though was the ignition was right. I had it all wired correctly but it still wasn't getting any power??? This is confusing me pretty good. I just don't understand why it won't work??? Anyone have any idea's on what might be going on???

Thanks...

Jon

back in the day, when ever i had problems..it was always the ground somehow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif try running a wire form the negative post on the battery back to the amp..

Take a small piece of wire and use it to connect the +12V terminal to the +12V ignition (remote) terminal. If the amp turns on, then everything is fine with the amp and your problem is with the headunit, possibly a setting that has to be turned on.

Also, sometimes a fuse may look good, but its really bad.

First off, i'm not even dealing with the amp. All my problems are with the HU. Second off I have a fuse checker thingy which tells if a fuse is good or not. I just got off the phone with him, guess he's just going ot get a new HU. I was thinking about switching HU's but that would by way to much of a pain in the butt. Thanks for the help any ways though, appreceate it..

Jon
