88 s10 blazer ( 1st gen ) build log

ok.now i just need to start buying some wood.

im looking at about 12 sheets.

that should take care of the roof, tailgate, side walls, rear floor, and wall.

ill get some deadener, and **** cant thing of the name. its the heavy foam type of stuff you use for doors.

ill put that over the deadener on the floor.

im going to weld some brackets on my tailgate hinges and door hinges. so they dont start sagging from all the wight.

i think ill do the port across the top. as i dont want any db loss.

also came up with a plan to make the port and back wall removable. just incase i need to make box bigger for better subs.

as for the port i can fine tune it.

i cant wait, as im going to finally wall this truck.

i wanted to wall it when i got back into this.

o also going to make my amp rack movable. ill have enough slack in the cables.

i think im going to weld up some square tub, make it a phantom mount.

i will make sure i take a lot of pics.
Closed cell foam(ccf)

Yea meters lower from what I've seen. Had a caddy here in town with two Fi blt bottom port on atomic 5k bpillar...
ive seen it go both ways.. just depends on what peaking harder at res frequency the port or the woofers.. all he has to do to make it on top is flip hte box around to where its on the top..

ok a small update, and ill get pics when things start rolling in....

but i ordered a few things yesterday.

i ordered....

******* door hinge kit

80LB SUPER DUTY SHAVED DOOR HANDLE KIT DOOR POPPERS

need to go buy some square tubing ,, some 1/8" sheet metal from home depot.

also going to buy 8" blazer c-notch..

starting to get my parts together to bag this bitch .

doing bag over axle , and cut my torsion bars and welding plates for the bags.

have been looking for a good rolling 2wd frame but cant find one for cheap.

so just going to my do with my 4wd frame. ( and no its not 4wd anymore) i pulled all that crap out a long time ago except my transfer case.

but ill get a 700r4 2wd trany.

after i get the hinges in, ill start ripping the hole interior out. to make my wall.

also i have been really thinking about body dropping it... if i do ill do that before the wall.

only need 4.5" .

and i did install my ppi 88rdsp and im really liking it.

i have been bitten by the sq bug..lol

Sounds really ******* sweet man! Can't wait to see all of this come together. Especially the ******* doors. Going to be so sick!

Will you be doing everything on your own? I wish I could weld and work with metal and such. Props man!

yup, i do it all...

nobody has ever touched my truck.. well except putting tires on rims.

but even that i take the rime off and take it to have tires put on.

ill even be painting it when im done.

and thanks.

I just realized you were doing 6 hds212s in a wall. That's going to be nasty and will turn out awesome especially with your skills

I know my new system is going to make me want more but I can't do a wall in my daily driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I bet seeing your build is going to make me want to redo the blow through in my truck. I'm thinking 6 or maybe 8 12s and just fill the entire bed. I'll rent a U haul pickup if I need a bed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
