I bought the amps from a member here so I thought I'd share the build I'm doing. Here's my '63 VW Double Cab...

When my Aunt had it restored they put a $50 JVC HU and a couple of $10 Orion 5.25 coaxes in it...

needless to say it sounded like crap and needed an upgrade in the sound department. I decided to keep costs down as much possible by using what I have and finding deals where I could find them.

For the HU I already had an Eclipse CD8445 sitting in my storage...

I wanted to go active so I needed some amps with a good crossover section. Luckily dragnix here was selling some JBL MS amps so I scooped up a 4 channel and two monos...

For speakers I went with NVX XSPTW tweets and I was going to go with Exodus Anarchy mids but they turned out to be too deep and I found a set of Stereo Integrity TM65s to run instead. I had a couple of Sundown 10" SD1v2s in my storage that I pulled out for sub duty...

Here's the area where everything is going to go. It's a tool compartment that is underneath the rear seats...

I ordered a prefab downfiring box for the subs that just happened to be the right size to fit comfortably in the tool area...

There's really no way to run wires cleanly on the inside of the cab so I decided to drill a hole and run everything underneath along the frame rail. I used a screw in wire pass through to get all of the wires through the floor...

Wiring everything up and mounting everything to some cutting board amp racks...

The Eclipse mounted and the front wiring...

Thanks. Yeah you don't see many of these on the road. This one my grandpa bought brand new and used it for a work truck until he got too old to work.

That's cool , not sure what your neighborhood is like but if you have sounds in a car like that , thats easy to identify , if you have a break in , the repairs could be expensive. Looks cool , keep us posted

It's always garaged so I'm good on that front.

Those anarchy mids are beefy. Are you gonna do some sound deadening?
Hell yes they are. I wish I could have made them work. The SI TM65s are no slouch though just a more manageable package. I deadened the tool area where the subs and amps are and threw a file tiles on the front sheet metal behind the kick panels.

I'm going to deaden the heck out of the fiberboard kick panels once I finish mounting the tweets/mids on them.
